My Mission is to use my talents and motivational abilities as a presenter/speaker to help groups, organizations, churches and any forum that allows for the opportunity for people to benefit from my contagious passion to celebrate life and all that there is to appreciate in this world.

I was raised in rural Iowa in the 1960’s and have achieved a significant success considering that I was born without arms. I have since accomplished “amazing feats” utilizing my feet and legs to be independent in my daily life. I drive a car with no special modifications; I live on my own without assistance and travel independently around the country.

In high school and college I excelled in athletics; gymnastics (trampoline), swimming and springboard diving. I received awards such as High School All- American , eastern Iowa athlete of the year, and recently inducted into the hall of fame.

I have been an Occupational therapist for 24 years and I chose that career to offer my special skills and expertise to children and their families to promote their physical independence and to maximize their future potential . My career has provided a varied path and I have assisted people of all ages and a myriad of challenges.

It has been a pleasure to have a career where my history and personality enable me to motivate people facing altering challenges. Individuals with medical, physical, learning and psychological needs have experienced a return to independence because of the intervention of therapists such as myself. I have found joy and satisfaction by approaching life’s challenges as opportunities for growth and to become a stronger , more capable individual. If life doesn’t fit , we make adjustments in order to make all things possible. God has blessed me abundantly and has given me the insight, energy and passion to take my future to a new level. I want to offer my expertise and special gifts to the world. My occupational therapy skills will be of service to all types of people and I look forward to assisting anyone to accomplish their goals.
